Urban spaces continue to lose green cover as cities expand, making it increasingly important to reconnect communities with nature. With this vision, we organised a large-scale Plant Distribution Drive at Nehru Place via our CSR implementation agency, encouraging people to make greenery a part of their everyday lives.
One of Delhi's busiest commercial centres, Nehru Place welcomed hundreds of people throughout the day. This provided an ideal opportunity to engage with shopkeepers, office employees, street vendors, visitors, and members of the local community about the importance of protecting the environment through simple yet meaningful actions.
As part of the initiative, over 1,300 saplings were distributed to individuals and businesses across the area. Along with every plant, volunteers interacted with recipients, sharing practical guidance on plant care, maintenance, and the positive impact that even a single plant can have on improving air quality and creating healthier surroundings.
The initiative was not limited to distributing saplings. It was about inspiring people to become active participants in making their neighbourhoods greener. Local vendors and community members were encouraged to nurture the plants and view them as a shared responsibility rather than a one-time giveaway.
Through this initiative, our implementation agency for FY 2025–26, Parvaah, continues to promote environmental stewardship by encouraging collective action. Every plant distributed represents a small but meaningful step towards cleaner air, healthier urban spaces, and a community that grows alongside nature.
